I bought 3 Hinkle rockers in dark green from my local " Just Cabinets " store. End of season sale at the store was $148.00/rocker which was much lower than the online advertised price of $179.00 less the 10% sale. I looked at rockers at Lowe's and read online reviews for Dixie rockers and Cracker Barrel rockers. All had some negatives mostly with the difficulty of assembly, cracked pieces of wood, cheap hardware, or uneven paint. All of these porch rockers including Hinkle are not fine furniture but you still want solid construction. The Hinkle rockers are made out of ash although some of my slats looked like oak which is fine also. The rockers are heavy and came preassembled when picked up at " Just Cabinets ". I bought the " Bradley " model which in the picture in this listing is the second from right. Paint quality is fine but with some missed places at a couple of joints. Maybe the wood shrank some after painting? I'm sure I will repaint at some future year so no big deal. No one cared last night when we were drinking bourbon and rocking. The rockers came with protective cardboard wrapping which left a sticky residue on the wood. I used methanol to remove the sticky with no adverse paint affect. I'm 6' and the back of my head rests against the top slat. Rockers ae more comfortable with a pillow for lumbar support. No staples in construction, just screws and brads. A solid porch rocker.
